REUNION counts with a broad geographical scope within its partnership, covering all EU regions in Southern, Eastern, Western and Northern Europe, providing a comprehensive setting. This will provide fundamental insight and perspective, both informing and enriching the Project’s results and facilitating participant selection, mobilisation and involvement.

Ministry of Justice (REUNION PROJECT COORDINATOR) The Italian Ministry of Justice is the judicial branch of the Italian government. It is the executive department responsible development of judicial policies. The department is led by the elected Minister of Justice. The Minister of Justice is a senior member of the cabinet, currently, Maria Cartabia. The Supervisory Court of Venice, the Ministry of Justice’s representative in REUNION, is the part of the judicial system that supervises the execution of sentences. It is the governmental judicial body responsible for transfer proceedings, inter alia, based on Framework Decision 2008/909. Its skills range from supervising the organisation of prisons to decisions on requests from individual prisoners (for example on permits or admission to work outside the country).

Moreover, it has experience in developing awareness-raising and supporting training materials for aiding stakeholders (namely judges and prosecutors) in their daily work.

National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution The National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution is supervised by the Minister of Justice in Poland.
